Who we are
Gecko Marine and Zim Sailing are focused on youth sailing because we care about growing the sport. As lifelong sailors we have benefited from our experience in the sport and it is our goal to help grow the sport by producing quality products at exceptional value for the small boat sailing market.
Our production facilities in Asia allow us to spend more time and care in the production of each boat, ensuring the finest details are polished and built to the highest standard possible. This exceptional attention to detail using the finest materials available results in an extremely high quality product at a more favorable price to the consumer.

Steve Perry
Steve has been a part of the sailing world since a very young age, building and racing Tornado catamarans starting in his early teens. With over 20 years experience building boats, including ten years with Vanguard Sailboats, he's been able to apply his engineering background to build high quality and durable products. His passion for sailing, both as a participant and a manufacturer, keep him focused on finding ways to support and grow the sport.Bob Adam
Bob Adam joins Zim Sailing with a wealth of knowledge and experience. Bob has worked in the marine industry for several years. He has worked with many industry leaders such as, North Sails, Doyle Sailmakers, and LaserPerformance. Bob is one of the most respected coaches and clinicians in the country. He specializes with Optimist and C420 sailors. Bob learned to sail at the Quannapowitt Yacht Club in Wakefield, MA where he sailed CC Mercury’s, O’Day Daysailors, and International 110’s. Bob was also very successful sailing JY 15’s, 470’s, and Interclub’s. In college he led Salem State up the national rankings back in the late 80’s. Today, Bob is found on his powerboat with his wife Stephanie watching his kids Brad and Grace sail on Narragansett Bay. Bob is thrilled to join the Zim Sailing Team and is looking forward to providing his customers with top quality products at reasonable prices while continuing to provide the fantastic personal service he is known for.George Zou
George is the General Manager at Zou Intermarine in Qingao, China. The Zou family has been building boats since 1986, and has been an approved IODA builder since 2001.
